The Diemtigtal is a side valley of the Simmental, 16km long and 130km2 in size. The lowest point is 640 metres above sea level, the highest point 2652 metres above sea level.
The Diemtigtal offers a wide range of sporting activities in all seasons. But other interesting areas in the mountains are also easily accessible by car or by train. Jungfrau region, Lenk, Adelboden, Saanenland, Gstaad.
Lakes Thun and Brienz are also two attractive lakes in the centre of the Bernese Alps. The attractive towns of Interlaken, Thun and Bern can be reached in 1/2 and 3/4 hours respectively.
The Diemtigtal is known for its numerous outdoor sports. In the warm season, hiking/mountain hiking on over 200 kilometres of marked hiking trails, Nordic walking, jogging, cycling, biking, electric biking, downhill biking, paragliding, trekking, swimming in beautiful mountain lakes, mountaineering. In winter, winter hiking, Nordic walking on snow, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, tobogganing, ice skating on natural ice.
